Abstract

In this study, the interface bonding properties of CFST at different ambient temperatures (T) were studied through the push-out test of 20 CFST specimens. The effects of diameter-to-thickness (D/t) ratio and concrete strength (fcu) on the interfacial bonding strength at different ambient temperatures were studied. At the same time, the distribution characteristics of the strain on the steel tube along the axial direction of CFST columns at different temperatures were analyzed. Subsequently, a formula for calculating the inter-facial bonding strength of CFSTs considering the effect of T was proposed. The results showed that the bonding strength calculated using the formulas pro-posed in this paper was in good agreement with the test results, which could serve as a theoretical reference for the design of CFST structures in high-cold regions.
