Abstract
In order to validate the damping effect of metamaterials, the low frequency damping effect of the spring oscillator metamaterials was used to test the vibration of thin plates. And the damping effect was compared with the viscoelastic damping materials. The results show that, with lighter additional weight, the low frequency damping effect of the spring oscillator metamaterials for plate was better than that of the viscoelastic damping materials.
