Abstract

In order to solve the pollution problem of waste engineering mud, this study prepared it into a kind of unfired ceramsite, and investigated the effects of the mud/cement ratio, quicklime addition amount and sodium silicate addition amount on the various indicators (apparent density, water absorption, mud content and disintegration rate). Research indicates that when the mud/cement ratio is 3:1, the quicklime content is 10%, and the sodium silicate content is 1%, the mud-based non-fired ceramsite has lower water absorption and mud content, higher strength and good performance. This study provides a new idea for the resource utilization of waste mud/slag.
