Abstract

By using ODS technology, The vibration of a series-excited motor used in drum washing machine in the high rotation speeds (5000rpm, 7000rpm, 11000rpm) were investigated. Combining with the noise measurement results, the correlation between vibration and noise during high rotational conditions was preliminary discussed. It shown that, the vibration of the motor excited by the unbalance force of the running parts and the friction force between the rotor part and stator part. With the rotational speed increasing, the frequencies of maximum vibration and noise value presented as frequency-shift. And overall noise levels were slightly increased. During the high rotational speed of 11000rpm, the amounts of motor body's resonant frequency were increased and the vibration amplitudes were decreased. The overall noise level of 11000rpm condition was still a little higher than 5000rpm and 7000rpm conditions. Experimental results showed that the intensified of whole body vibration was one of the most important reasons of noise radiation.
