Abstract

This paper presents the results of comparing the instantaneous working performance in the period before the plastic reinforcement, of the saline aggregate reinforced concrete beams and the clean sand aggregate reinforced concrete beams. The authors performed theoretical and experimental calculations on the bearing capacity of three pairs of beams (salinated sand beams – clean sand beams) corresponding to concrete with strength levels B20, B30 and B45. Concrete with salt-contaminated sand aggregates using corrosion inhibitors and reinforced steel is coated with epoxy coating with thickness 175±18µm. Saline sand aggregates Thuan An - Hue, Tra Khuc - Quang Ngai and Bai Dai - Van Don (Quang Ninh), clean sand aggregates are Song Lo yellow sand. Concrete beams are calculated according to TCVN 5574-2018 standard and tested according to TCVN 9347-2012.
