Abstract

The shrinkage rate of inorganic polymer concrete is bigger than that of ordinary concrete. In this study, the micro-expansion basic system of inorganic polymer concrete with high performance calcium sulpho aluminate was built based on lots of experimental research. The cube compressive strength and the flexural–tensile strength of micro-expansion inorganic polymer concrete are similar to that of ordinary concrete. The cube compressive strength and flexural–tensile strength of specimens with high performance calcium sulpho aluminate dosages of 3% decreased about 2%, compared with the specimens without high performance calcium sulpho aluminate. The ratio between the flexural–tensile strength and the cube compressive strength conformed to the characteristics of ordinary concrete. Incorporating high performance calcium sulpho aluminate can effectively reduce the shrinkage of inorganic polymer concrete. The 3-day dry shrinkage of specimens with high performance calcium sulpho aluminate dosages of 6% was only 46% of the specimens without high performance calcium sulpho aluminate. The optimal dosage of high performance calcium sulpho aluminate is from 3 to 6%.
