Abstract

The low-temperature sludge drying has become a kind of emerging hot drying technology. A small low-temperature heat pump sludge drying system is constructed in this paper. System operation characteristics are experimental studied. The results demonstrate that the set of an auxiliary fan is helpful to the system stable operation, but also leads temperature fluctuation of the main and auxiliary condenser. The inlet temperature and humidity of moist air in the drying closet and evaporator presents the opposite vibrate trend. The moisture contents in the above two devices both show a trend of increasing first and then decreasing, but the fluctuation range in drying closet is bigger. The wind resistances of the drying box and evaporator, which account for more than 90% of the whole system, both shows a certain extent fluctuation. The average specific power consumption of the system is 0.97 kWh/kg.
