Abstract

In this study, a test house with two rooms was built on the roof of a building in Nanchang University. The wall structure is 20mm cement mortar + 240mm red brick wall + 20mm cement mortar. One of the rooms is painted with a reflective coating on the south wall and the other is a common one without painting reflective coating. The outdoor temperature and the indoor temperature of the experimental rooms are measured in summer and compared comparison is made. The thermal performance of the new reflective coating is evaluated in hot summer and cold winter zone of China. The results show that the indoor temperature of the room painted the reflective coating is lower than the temperature of the room without painting the reflective coating. The maximum difference is 4.32 ℃. It indicates that the material has good thermal performance.
