Abstract
In this paper, algorithms for trend identification are considered as algorithms of marking of final planar point configurations. Algorithms of this type put in correspondence of configuration points the tags from some prerecorded vocabulary (e.g., minimum, maximum, plateau, etc.). This paper contains a description of the approach and the results of experiments with real data (exchange rates published by the Central Bank of Russia).
