Abstract

The article presents the test results of a scale model of a single-span steel-reinforced concrete beam, which is as close as possible to the real structures of bridge spans with the combination of a reinforced concrete slab with steel beams using flexible pin stops. The distribution of the experimental values of shear deformations and normal stresses in the beam flanges is in good agreement with the calculated data, taking into account the shear stiffness of the joint, and differ in a number of values from those calculated by the classical approach.
