Abstract

At the moment, the actual scientific and technical task is to reduce the weight and size characteristics of the metamaterial, as well as to reduce the technological complexity of manufacturing chiral elements. This article is devoted to experimental studies of radiating structures with substrates of planar chiral metamaterial based on S-elements and gammadions, which make it possible to determine their real characteristics, as well as to verify the results obtained by electrodynamic modeling methods. The obtained results of an experimental study of the characteristics of layouts of planar chiral metamaterials based on S-elements and gammadions indicate the presence of "screen" properties in a number of frequency ranges. At the same time, the "chiral properties" of these planar metamaterials are expressed worse than those of bulk metamaterials based on spirals. These chiral metamaterials can be used in solving problems of electromagnetic compatibility of closely located radio-electronic means.
