Abstract

The outhor after producing experimental injuries on various parts of the labyrinth of rabbits by means of caustic soda, staphylococcus or cauterization came to the conclusion, that 1) Injury in the horizontol semicircular canal affects the semicircular, then the utricular- and lastly the saccular function. 2) Injuries in fenstra rotundum and ovalis and the wall of the cochlea peoduce the same effect, i. e. they affect first the function of sacculus and next the functions of utriculus and the semicircular canal at the same time.Injuries in the upper part (above the de Burlet's membrane) of the labyrinth have a greater destructive power on the otolith-function than those in the lower part.
