Abstract
The literature concerning liquid—solid contacting efficiency in trickle-bed reactors is reviewed. A mathematical description of the dynamic tracer method employed in experiments is formulated. The assumptions of the mathematical model are given together with the basic differential equations and the resulting model equations. The experimental set-up and procedure are described. The results are presented using diagrams and appropriate correlating formulae.
