Abstract

An interesting incorporated and confined dual yield dc-dc resonant converter, that interfaces both high voltage batteries and low voltage loads is designed and analyzed in this paper. In this proposed topology, the power from the batteries to the grid flows in either direction, i.e. it is said to be bidirectional. The magnetic terminals of the resonant systems are connected to the dual output of the resonant converter so that the power handling capacity of the converter is increased, thus making it a single tertiary winding electromagnetically incorporated transformer with split capacitors. The voltage range at the output side is improved using variable dc-connect voltage methodology. A dual output converter has been proposed and experimental verification has been carried out on an prototype and the results are compared with the conventional circuit.
