Abstract

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) represents the third urologic neoplasm in frequency, its prognosis is poor in an advanced stage and early detection is difficult due to the lack of molecular biomarkers. Researchers are devoted to earlier detection of RCC and rising life expectancy of cancer survivors. What’s more, the understanding of RCC was improved since the development and the application of the molecular biology experimental technique, including the pathogenesis and etiology, RCC subtypes and prognostic factors of RCC.
