Abstract
Live working is one of the important technical means to ensure the reliability and safety of the substation operation, and the minimum approach distance and minimum complex gap are the critical parameters to ensure the safety of live workers and equipment. In this article, through a 1:1 simulation tubular busbar of 110kV substation switching impulse discharge test, discharge characteristic curve of the typical clearance were obtained and the minimum discharge position of 110kV complex gaps was located 0.2m from the tubular busbar. The live working overvoltage levels for phase-ground and phase-phase were 2.15 p.u. and 3.94 p.u. in the 110kV substaion respectively. The live working minimum approach distances of phase-ground and phase-phase gaps were 0.80 m and 1.75 m respectively, and the minimum complex gap was 1.90 m in the 110kV substation at the altitude below 1000 m. The research results have certain reference significance to the development and application of live working in 110 kV substations.
