Abstract

The important part of a concrete is the aggregate present in the concrete. It makes up almost 75%of the volume of the concrete. It plays an important role in the deciding the physical and chemical properties of the concrete. In this present paper, an attempt has been, made to partially replace the fine aggregate in various percentages with the tiles powder in concrete making. Hence tiles powder is used as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in concrete construction. The final result will reduce the usage of M-sand as fine aggregate in construction techniques. The tiles powder is added proportion of 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% instead of M-sand in M20 concrete mix. The concrete mix ratio is found out and the study materials are mixed. These are then cast into cubes, cylinders and taken out and cured for 7, 14 and 28 days each. And additional added for coconut coir in1%of weight of cement.
