Abstract

A new method is proposed for evaluating heat transfer coefficients in a heat exchanger matrix. In comparison with the well known single-blow method, a new double-blow method offers prediction of heat transfer coefficients on both sides of the heat exchanger wall by using one run only, because temperatures of both fluids flowing through the heat exchanger matrix are changed and measured.
