Abstract

In this paper the performance of some typical high-resolution sensor array processing algorithms is investigated using real towed sonar array data. Particular attention is focused on the robustness of the algorithms to gain and phase mismatches between different sensors and the associated receiving channels. A method is also proposed to deal with the gain mismatches. The results provide some new insight into the behavior of the algorithms in real sonar environment.
