Abstract

It is well known that the utilization and development of hearing in deaf children is one of the most important and urgent problems in the theory and practice of surdopedagogy. There is probably no school today that has not established an auditory center, and it is difficult to find surdopedagogues who are not aware of the importance of auditory training. Using the scientific and theoretical works which have been published on this problem by the Scientific Research Institute of Defectology of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, trained practitioners in schools for deaf children have also amassed a certain amount of experience in this area.
