Abstract

An overview of of currently available experimental methods for determining chemical reaction thresholds is presented. Two main categories are discussed depending on whether or not lasers are involved in the experimental setup. The presentation outlines the state-of-the-art in this area of the molecular reaction dynamics field with different examples of what can be learned from chemical reaction threshold measurements. A discussion about the limiting factors on the collision energy resolution in either beam-beam or gas cel experiments is also presented
