Abstract

A general two resonant-absorber technique for measuring the absolute recoilless fraction of Mössbauer sources is presented. The technique is similar to the black absorber technique, but does not require a special absorber. The method is indepedent of source line shape, absorber line shape, and velocity-independent instrumental broadening.
