Experimental measurements of the Landé gJ factor of some levels in argon atom situated near the first limit of ionization

Abstract

We have measured the Landé g J factor in argon corresponding to the levels: 6d[1/2]1, 6d[3/2]1 and 7d[1/2]1, excited from the level 4p[1/2]0; 8d[1/2]1, 8d[3/2]1 and 9d[1/2]1, excited from the level 4p ′[1/2]0; 4d ′[1/2]1, excited from the level 4p[1/2]1 by optogalvanic spectroscopy with an uncertainty of ±0.02.
