Abstract

In the present work, new experimental data of CO2 solubility in aqueous solutions of 2, 3 and 4.5M (17.5, 26.1 and 39.16wt.%) morpholine (MOR) at two different temperatures (313.15 and 333.15K) is obtained by static method. The Deshmukh–Mather thermodynamic model is performed to calculate CO2 solubility in aqueous MOR solutions. The short-range interaction parameters between ion–ion and ion–molecule species in the activity coefficient model are considered to be function of temperature and are adjusted to experimental data. The model shows good results for the solubility calculations. The overall average absolute relative percent deviation (AAD%) for all the data points of CO2 partial pressure is 9.86%.
