Abstract

AbstractIn order to get a large area of the plasma jet, it is established a one-dimensional atmospheric pressure plasma jet array generating device. Some experiments are carried out using helium as the discharge gas with the device in the surrounding air. The characteristics of the discharge of plasma jet array were diagnosed using voltage-current waveforms, Lissajous figures, luminous images and emission spectrum. And the differences between the plasma jet array without magnetic field and that with magnetic field are also compared. The experimental results show that the discharge current with magnetic field is uniform, the discharge power with magnetic field is bigger than that without magnetic field, and the plasma jet array region with magnet produce stronger light intensity and introduce more high energic active particles than that without magnetic field.
