Abstract
An investigation of the ventilated supercavitation for a supercavitating vehicle pitched up and down in the supercavity has been carried out in a high-speed water tunnel. The interaction of the aft body of the vehicle with the cavity wall as the vehicle manipulated with a pitching motion within the supercavity is discussed in the present paper. The flow characteristics were measured and the stability of supercaviting flow with different pitching frequencies and amplitudes is introduced and analyzed.
