Abstract

In this paper, effects of chemical flooding of silica Nanoparticles and SDBS surfactant on enhanced oil recovery have been studied. This research tries to increase the Oil recovery factor by influencing on Microscopic mechanisms existed in pores which means the changes of surface’s Wettability from oil-wet to water-wet or intermeidate state, and reduction in interfacial tension. These goals were achieved using surfactant and Nanoparticles flooding which are studied as the third step of oil recovery in micro model media, results have shown the positive effect in interfacial tension, wettability Alteration and oil recovery factor promotion.
