Abstract

An anomalous behaviour of the “distant” ENDOR (DENDOR) signal was found in ruby, oriented under cross-relaxation angles. Investigation of this behaviour and of DENDOR dynamics for other orientations show the important role of the dipole-dipole reservoir (DDR) of paramagnetic centers in DENDOR in ruby.
