Abstract

Abstract This paper experimentally investigates the relationship between the operating temperature and the power handling capability (PHC) of a coplanar waveguide (CPW) high-temperature superconducting (HTS) dual-band bandpass filter (DBPF) using a YBCO thin film deposited on a MgO substrate. The PHC is evaluated based on the intermodulation distortion of the HTS-DBPF. Experimental results show that the PHC does not change depending on how signals are input to the passbands of the HTS-DBPF at 50 K, 60 K, and 70 K, which leads to a straightforward design of mobile communication systems.
