Abstract
Experimental investigation of ruthenium-indenylidene precatalyst for 1-octene metathesis.Olefin metathesis entails the formation of new alkenes (olefins) by the breaking and reforming of C-C double bonds. Many metathesis catalysts have been developed of which the rutheniumindenylidene Grubbs type precatalyst is one. It showed an improvement on activity, stability and lifetime. The focus of this study is the optimisation of this precatalyst.
