Abstract
Far-field sound-pressure levels were measured in an anechoic room for a selected number of standard and unusual nozzle types, the latter being modifications of optimum configurations previously reported in ASD-TDR-62-303. The results are reported in terms of over-all acoustic power vs mass flow, and are compared with various 8th-power relations. Spectral analyses are presented as well. An attempt is made to normalize acoustic and flow parameters with respect to size and temperature. [Supported by Propulsion Laboratory, Aeronautical Systems Division.]
