Abstract

This paper is based on developing a novel viscometer for measuring the viscosity of Ferro Fluids. The production of nano-scaled materials can be done using several techniques; this paper discusses ball milling and chemical precipitation methods. As we talk about the properties of Ferro Fluids, the viscosity of these fluids can't be measured accurately under the subjection of an external magnetic field. In this connection, the designers modified the existing viscometer of Redwood to measure the Ferro Fluids' viscosity under static conditions. In that modified viscometer, some special arrangements can vary the magnetic field; by using that modified device, one can obtain the viscosity of Ferro Fluids.
