Abstract
The paper presents the results of the experimental investigations of a laminar-turbulent transition not only in plane, roundfree and semi-confined jet flows but also in plane semi-limited jets in co-current flow. It also gives the results of visual investigation of large-scale vortex formation structure, their appearance, interaction and destruction with the help of shadowgraph apparatus IAB-451 with simultaneous measurement of the vortex formation frequency.The results of turbulent pulsation velocities measured with the help of hot wire anemometer system designed by our group under the leadership of the author are also given.
