Abstract

In this research, entropy generation and exergy loss of nano-refrigerant condensation process inside a horizontal tube is investigated experimentally. Mixture of oil and CuO nanoparticles is added to R600a and nano-refrigerant is produced. Influences of vapor quality, mass flux, concentration of nanoparticles on entropy generation and exergy loss are investigated. Results indicate that increasing concentration of nanoparticles leads to increase the frictional entropy generation. Bejan number and exergy loss decreases with increase of vapor quality and mass flux of nanofluid.
