Abstract

This article present an experimental investigation of push-out bond strength of fiber post that are cemented with various adhesive resin cements. Various modes of failure are also studied and discussed herein. Three resins namely Fluorocore 2+, Rely-X U200 and G-Cem are used in this study. The study is carried out on forth five single rooted teeth randomly divided into three groups. The teeth specimens were prepared by chemo-mechanical procedure and cemented with various adhesive resin cement. These teeth are further sliced at coronal, middle and apical levels for experimental testing of bond strength. These samples further tested on universal spring testing machine until the post was dislodged. Using Chi square, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis test, the obtained results were analyzed with significance level of p = 0.05. Bond strength of Fluorocore 2+ showed highest as compared to others. Rely-X U200 and G-Cem showed insignificant variation in bond strength at coronal, middle and apical levels.
