Abstract

In this study, a solar air heater with PCM storage system has been investigated in the Kashmar in the Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran. The ambient temperature, the output temperature were measured and the sun radiation was calculated. The measured temperatures were calculated on different flow rates. The performance of solar air heater was measured by the first Law of thermodynamics and energy efficiency. By comparing the results for all flow rates, it was found that, as the flow rate increases, the output temperature decreases, but the efficiency of the solar air heater increases. Also, by comparing the performance of current solar air heater with the numerical study (without a fin and without a power storage system) it was shown that the efficiency was enhanced with PCM and fin tangibly.
