Abstract
Active balloons (AB) impregnated of paclitaxel (PTX) improve the patency of femoro-popliteal angioplasties. However, they remain discussed for the treatment of infra-popliteal lesions due to suspected distal emboli of PTX. The objective of this study was to determine experimentally the respective embolizing potential of the main ABs available on the market.
