Abstract
This paper describes an attempt made to incorporate laminate Geosynthetics in concrete beams. Despite several studies being done in application of Geosynthetics in soils, Geosynthetics have hardly been used with concrete. In this research, several tests were conducted to evaluate the capability of Geosynthetics used in concrete to affect flexural and compressive strength of concrete beams. The results showed an increase of nearly 40% in load-carrying capacity in flexure strength and 30% in compressive strength of concrete beams if Geosynthetics were included.
