Abstract

The ground-state mass of $^{12}\mathrm{Be}$ was measured using the reaction $^{7}\mathrm{Li}$($^{7}\mathrm{Li}$, 2p) $^{12}\mathrm{Be}$ in a kinematically complete experiment. The mass excess was determined to be 24.95 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 0.10 MeV. An excited state of $^{12}\mathrm{Be}$ is identified at an excitation energy of 0.81 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 0.10 MeV.
