Abstract

The subject of the study in the article is a comparative analysis of the air permeability of textile materials of the batch of personnel parachute systems D-5 series 2 1973 and 1974 years of production after their long storage with zero (inexhaustible) resource. The normative values of the indicator are used as baseline. Deviations are defined as the ratio of the air permeability characteristics of individual elements of the parachute system after long-term storage to their initial value accepted in the parachute design stage.
The aim is to obtain the data array to assess the physical and mechanical characteristics of the parachute system materials. It is known that in the process of long-term storage there is a change in the characteristics of polymeric materials of the primary structural elements of the parachute canopy frame, ropes, canopy fabric, reinforcing slings, etc.
The tasks: to develop and test the method of taking point samples of test samples for laboratory tests; experimentally determine the characteristics of materials; choose an effective algorithm for analyzing the state of the system. The following methods and equipment were used. The method of taking point samples of test samples of personnel parachute systems D-5 series 2 for conducting laboratory researches on determination of air permeability is improved. The following results were obtained. According to the indicator of air permeability of the fabric, the components of the parachute system from the worst to the best form a series: the parachute extraction device of the stabilizing parachute - the base of the canopy of the stabilizing parachute - the main canopy of the main parachute.
Conclusions. The time of parachute system manufacture (difference 1 year) does not have a significant effect on the value of fabrics air permeability. Instead, storage and maintenance conditions are essential. The results of work should be further used in the planning, organization and conducting of works to extend the effective period of the established indicators of parachute equipment.
