Abstract

Separation is essential for biomedical applications. Here, we report an integrated fluidic circuit consisting of a natural convection pump and a vector separator using induced charge electro-osmosis (ICEO). In particular, we demonstrated that the particle orbit can be controlled by changing ICEO flow velocities around plural carbon poles. Our prototype system should be useful since it does not require mechanical parts.
