Abstract

AbstractIonic liquids have been widely discussed for manifold applications in chemical and energy engineering. Reliable molecular transport property data for the heat and mass transfer are indispensable. In this study, the diaphragm‐cell method has been applied to determine the mutual mass diffusivities of binary mixtures of ethanol in the ionic liquid [EMIM][DEP] for various ranges of temperatures and ionic liquid mass fractions. A simple correlation based on the Stokes‐Einstein relation is used to fit the experimental data.
