Abstract

Intermodulation between closely spaced signals in a semiconductor laser amplifier has been analysed by representing the output spectrum as the phase and amplitude modulation products generated by the fluctuations of the carrier density with the input power beats. Here we present experimental confirmation of the model's predictions for the two-channel case.
