Abstract
A partition column chromatographic method on alumina for the quantitative estimation of protoporphyrin ester by the gradient elution technique has been developed. It is rapid and suitable for the isolation of protoporphyrin, the principal porphyrin of experimental chloroma in Sprague Dawley rats.
