Abstract

The development of a hypersonic characterisation methodology is presented. A boundary layer rake has been design for the in-flight EXPERT project. It is still in an optimisation phase and it accuracy is under evaluation. Based on this experience, instruments are developped for characterizing a hypersonic boundary layer in wind-tunnel condition. Finally, some numerical computations for both in-flight and on-ground test conditions are used for ground to flight extrapolation.
