Abstract
1. 1. Sutilains (Travase) enzymatic debridement has been evaluated in the non-infected and the Pseudomonas-infected experimental burn wound. 2. 2. Sutilains (Travase) would seem to predispose to burn wound sepsis in all the experimental circumstances evaluated. 3. 3. The incorporation of Sulfamylon or silver sulfadiazine 1% with sutilains did not protect against burn wound sepsis and death. 4. 4. Caution in clinical use of sutilains in the contaminated burn wound seems indicated by these data.
