Abstract

To the best of our knowledge, no any experimental transition probabilities and oscillator strengths are available for Tb I lines. In this work, using emission spectra from the digital library of National Solar Observatory on Kitt Peak, USA (http://diglib.nso.edu/), branching fractions for 79 Tb I lines ranging between 351 and 876 nm were determined for the first time. These data were combined with radiative lifetimes from the references to derive transition probabilities and oscillator strengths. The data reported in this work will enrich atomic spectra database and be useful in theoretical work.
