Abstract

Investigations of CO2 gas dynamic lasers (CO2-GDL) on CO2 + + N2 + H2 mixtures have been carried out in experimental [1–3] and theoretical [4] works. The admixtures of molecular hydrogen in CO2-GDL active medium of about\( {\xi _{{H_2}}} \leqslant 0.05\) mole fraction made it possible to attain a gain coefficient small-signal, Ko = 0.5 − 0.7 m−1. At higher molecular hydrogen concentrations a sharp decrease in the gain coefficient to 0.1 – 0.2 m−1 at \( {\xi _{{H_2}}} = 0.2\) occurs [1–4].
