Abstract

A mathematical model of a laser with a mixing nozzle array was developed and an apparatus was made enabling a high specific output energy to be obtained. The experimental and calculated results were compared and analyzed. A specific output energy of ~ 70 J/g was achieved using a mixing nozzle array and the proposed model accounted quite accurately for the principal physical processes.
