Abstract

The paper presents the model of construction component (insulating hollow core plate) in the form of a plate made of rigid thermal insulation material, with modifications in the geometry of the section. The modifications consist of channels parallel to the longer edge of the plate with sections of simple geometrical figures. What needs to be determined is the impact of the channels with different section type and its location in the plate on the thermal insulation property of the plate. The aim of the research is to obtain a composite insulating material of low weight and low thermal conductivity coefficient, that would be similar to a solid material and that would allow for the reduction of raw materials used in its production at the same time. The authors analyze thermal parameters of the suggested thermo insulating hollow core plate solution, using 2 and 3 dimensional MES modelling, accompanied by the laboratory verification of the obtained results.
